  • For more information on COVID-19, including symptoms and treatment, visit cdc.gov/coronavirus.

For the most up-to-date COVID-19 safety protocols, please visit the UCSF COVID-19 Event Policy website.

UCSF strongly recommends that all guests attending in-person special events at UCSF are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters, if eligible. COVID-19 vaccines remain the best public health measure to protect people from the virus, slow transmission, and reduce the likelihood of new variants emerging.

UCSF adheres to the San Francisco Department of Public Health COVID-19 health requirements, and in some instances our requirements are more stringent given our unique role as a health care, research, and academic enterprise.

(Please Note: These guidelines are subject to change depending on the size of the event, whether the event is indoor or outdoor, and the most up-to-date COVID health requirements at the time.)

  • Dress attire is casual. Most events will also be indoors with some outdoor options, but please check weather prior to Alumni Weekend as April temperatures vary.

  • SCIENTIFIC SESSION: AN IMPORTANT UPDATE

Our Scientific Session program is evolving, and we are excited to announce that the Dental Alumni Association's Scientific Session will transition to a standalone event offered in fall 2024! We will bring fresh topics and engaging speakers to this in-person offering. Please check your email in the coming months for additional information.

As we know, many of you depend on the licensure courses traditionally offered, and we will be presenting two continuing dental education (CDE)-accredited courses, "Infection Control" and "California Dental Law" in April at Alumni Weekend 2024.

Please email Alfred Magallanes (alfred.magallanes@ucsf.edu) with questions or for additional information.

CONTINUING DENTAL EDUCATION COURSES AT AW24

Earn up to four continuing dental education credits for a fee of $15 per CDE unit.

    How to redeem CDE credit:

    • Redemption codes will be posted at the end of the lecture.
    • To receive CDE credit, you will need to take note of the provided codes.
    • On Monday, April 15, you will receive a survey for each lecture you attended.
    • While completing the survey, please include the appropriate redemption codes to obtain CDE credit. (Due to CDE restrictions, recordings of Scientific Session lectures are not available.)

Approximately two weeks after you submit the survey, you will receive a separate, itemized certificate by email for each session, according to the following schedule:

    • Submit surveys by April 19 to receive your certificate by May 3.
    • Submit surveys by April 26 to receive your certificate by May 10.
